New Garage Door Opener Installation
When an opener is past saving — or you're just done with the racket — we install quiet, reliable new openers and set everything up before we leave: remotes, keypad, safety sensors, and smartphone control if the unit supports it. We'll size the motor to your door, not upsell you the biggest box on the shelf.
Straightforward pricing
$900–$1,100 installed
Depends on the unit you choose. Price includes the opener, installation, programming, and haul-away of the old one.
Signs you need this
- Your old opener needs repairs that cost half the price of a new one
- No safety sensors (openers from before the mid-1990s)
- You want quiet — belt drives are a different world from old chain units
- You want smartphone control and alerts when the door opens
How we handle it
- Help you choose the right drive type and horsepower for your door
- Remove and haul away the old unit
- Install, align safety sensors, and set travel and force limits
- Program remotes, keypad, and app — and show you how it all works
Common questions
Belt drive or chain drive?
Belt drives are noticeably quieter — the right call if there's a bedroom over or beside the garage. Chains are rugged and cost a bit less. We install both and will give you a straight recommendation.
How long does installation take?
Usually 2–4 hours for a straightforward swap, done in one visit. We carry common units on the truck.
Can my new opener work with my phone?
Yes — most current openers have built-in Wi-Fi so you can open, close, and get alerts from an app. We set it up before we leave.
How much does a new garage door opener cost installed?
$900–$1,100 all-in with us: the opener itself, installation, safety sensor alignment, programming of remotes and keypad, and haul-away of your old unit. The exact number depends on which unit you choose.
What horsepower opener do I need?
It depends on the door, not the marketing. A standard steel double door doesn't need the biggest motor on the shelf; a heavy insulated or custom wood door does. We size the opener to your actual door — a properly balanced door barely works the motor anyway.
